Join Doctor Vu for an exciting 6-week class that invites you to sample the diverse world of burlesque technique and props. Each week focuses on a different skill, from chair work and floor work to boas, fans, and neo-classic tease, giving you a chance to explore what resonates with you. Whether you're new to burlesque or looking to expand your repertoire, you'll build confidence and discover your personal style in a supportive environment.
Class is for anyone age 18+, all experience levels welcome. Burlesque is for all bodies and gender identities. Dress in comfortable clothes you can move in with bare feet, socks, or shoes you would like to work in. Props will be available to use during class; however, if you have a special boa or fans you'd like to use, please bring them.

Join Doctor Vu for a beginner-friendly class that introduces you to the captivating world of burlesque dance. This class is perfect for anyone eager to explore or hone burlesque movements and language, building confidence while embracing their authentic selves.
In this supportive and fun atmosphere, you'll learn the fundamentals of burlesque, including playful bumps, tantalizing shimmies, and alluring grinds. We'll break down these movements step-by-step, focusing on technique and mindful expression to help you master the art of the tease.
Beyond just the steps, we'll delve into the building blocks of burlesque performance, using it as a tool for personal empowerment. You'll discover the transformative power of movement as we work on a choreographed routine that allows you to express yourself artistically and embrace the allure of burlesque.
This class is designed for anyone age 18 and above, celebrating all bodies and gender identities. Burlesque is for all bodies! Dress in comfortable clothes you can move in, with bare feet, socks, or shoes. Please bring a hoodie with a zipper or a top that you can unbutton for our strip-tease element. If you don’t have one, no problem!
The first class of this series on September 15th is FREE! Afterwards, Classes are $15/class and you can purchase ahead of time or as a drop-in day of as space allows.
